Oh Yikes. I should have said that I am also on a Mac when I said that the newest iTunes is fine. I keep forgetting that iTunes now runs on PC as well. Can't speak to that. I never run Windows altho I have it on all my Macs. terry The new edition of Cyberfeasts and Foodstocks Second Helping is available <http://www.cyberfeasts.com/cookbook2.htm> On Jan 14, 2011, at 11:16 AM, Ken Stevens wrote: > Hi Becca: > > I can only personally speak for iTunes 10 on the Mac. It is very stable and hasn't given me any cause for concern. My brother has Windows and I recently installed iTunes 10 for him. So far, so good. He loves the program especially where he can play his music through remote speakers from iTunes. Make a backup of your system then upgrade to iTunes 10. That way you can revert if you don't like it. > > Ken > On Dec 1, 2010, at 11:24 AM, Becca wrote: > >> I'm still using iTunes 9.something. Every once in awhile it bugs me to upgrade, but the last I heard iTunes 10 wasn't very stable. Still, iTunes 9 is starting to behave oddly, which usually means it's time to upgrade. Is it safe? >> >> I have no real need to upgrade. I don't have an iPad, iPhone, or iPod Touch - we're all using old Nanos. but today, when I went to sync my iPod, it seems to have lost all my podcasts (the podcast names are there, the episodes "can't be found" and when I try to refresh my podcasts, nothing happens. I tried to do a connectivity test, and iTunes froze and had to be forceably shut down.) >> >> -becca >> >> >> >> _______________________________________________ >> iTunes mailing list >> iTunes at listserver.themacintoshguy.com >> http://listserver.themacintoshguy.com/mailman/listinfo/itunes > > _______________________________________________ > iTunes mailing list > iTunes at listserver.themacintoshguy.com > http://listserver.themacintoshguy.com/mailman/listinfo/itunes
