a cube?

I like to keep OSX on it's own 8-10GB partition, and all documents/files on
the 2nd remaining partition so that if I have any system issues which
require a re-install or CarbonCopy cloner transfer, I can completely format
that one partition without touching any of my files.
I've had a few system type problems recently where I've had to completely
start over - but with a separate partition, all of my documents have stayed
safe. Of course, you have to manually point all i-apps to use your document
partition for their various libraries.
Some suggest a 5-10GB partition for Photoshop to use as a scratch disc also.
