[CUBE] move OS X user home folder?

J.C. Webber III emitted a stream of electrons translating into this:

> cd /
> mv Users Users.orig
> ln -s /Volumes/Users Users
> and I named that disk Users.

OK this is what's so ugly about the OS X and so good about OS 9:
TEXT CONFIG FILES.
What if I change the volume name later? I will have to hunt for it in files
like that and edit edit edit. This type of work I hated since DOS 3.3.
