I use common sense and general knowledge about USB. The speakers use 
quite a bit of power and  _that_  is the reason they should be 
connected to powered hubs. As king as USB devices do not linget too far 
away from the standards (meaning they should not carry the USB sign) 
they can be connected to any USB hub providing there is enough power 
and that is where powered hubs coms in. Just like you cannot connect a 
USBscanner to the Apple keyboard because keybord + mouse + scanner does 
not leave enough power.

My system is the proof of it!

(Apple does not built any hubs, so in Apple vision there are no huns)
