Gigabit ethernet?

Yep, I think I know what's wrong.

Do not transfer data from OS9 to OSX or visa versa - it is dog slow.  
OSX to OSX or OS9 to OS9 is way faster.  They mix like oil and water 
when you try to transfer large amounts of data.  And yes I learned this 
by accident and pain - now transfers for me are much easier and faster.
