I've experienced several on my new 15" AI Powerbook that I atribute
to the D-Link 802.11g wireless card (or the driver I got for it from
orangeware.com) I use occasionally when I need to extend the reach
of my wireless access.

It happens at different times and I've not been able to pin down the
exact circumstances, but usually during some state transition.
Either pluging the card in hot or waking from sleep after having
configured the interface, or trying to shut it down when I don't
need it anymore. But it has never caused a kernel panic during
normal operation once properly configured (as long as I don't let
the PB go to sleep).
