[Cube] Bluetooth for Cube

I'm using a D-Link BT dongle (DBT-120) on my Cube in my home theater. It
works extremely well. I just plugged it into a USB hub that I have connected
to the cube and it worked instantly. I'm not using the dongle for a wireless
keyboard/mouse solution. I'm using a Logitech wireless keyboard.

My Cube is the main driver for my 30,000 + MP3 collection. I have a 250gig
external firewire drive with all the tunes on it. The Cube is integrated
into the theater through my Denon 5700 AV amp and my Mitsu 50" TV. The
theater set up is available throughout the house. This is where BT comes
into play...via Salling Clicker.

I use the bluetooth adapter in order to use Salling Clicker (
http://homepage.mac.com/jonassalling/Shareware/Clicker/) and my Nokia 6600
to control my tunes throughout the house. Salling clicker is an excellent
bargain at $19.95. In addition, I bought iDisco ( http://www.snarb.tk/).
It's a better iTunes controller than the one that comes with Clicker.

Another BT app that I have on the Cube is BlueToothElite (
http://www.reelintelligence.com/BluePhoneElite/). It's a beta app but works
great. For one thing, it pops up callerID info on my TV whenever my cell
phone rings. This is nice if I have the Picture-in-Picture on my TV set with
the Cube in a window. It also has nice proximity features like automatically
starting the screensaver, pausing iTunes, changing my iChat status, etc.
when I leave the range of the dongle. Those last features I use in
conjunction with the BlueToothElite app on my Powerbook when I'm at work.

Anyway...the D-Link dongle works quite well with my Cube.

Man I love my CUBE!
