Hi Seth, 
 
My understanding is Steve wants to clean the inner parts of an Apple 17
CRT monitor, not the Apple 17 LCD display. 
Though I agree with you about being careful...

Yeah all I can say is be careful!! You don't want to damage the LCD or 
yourself!! Using the hex keys should be good. Don't use windex get 
something maid to clean LCD screens you might take the costing off the 
screen if you use to harsh of a chemical.
