RE; I have a much earlier 775 nikon,and I use it far more than I ever 
thought I might,another use for it is its small size and great closeup 
(macro)ability,I often use it to photo systems as I take them 
apart,such as wireing orders, it shows the color codes on plain paper I 
can add notes to for reasembly or replacement of wiring harnesses
