consumer camera (Coolpix 885)

Seems the Coolpix 885 is an even better deal in Europe than in the US (first
time for everything). The deal I found on the 885 includes the EN-EL1
battery and the battery charger, which IIRC are extras in the US.

I also read on Steve's Digicams that the 885 gets only about 90 minutes from
a fully charged battery. Bummer. And I think it only takes the Nikon
proprietary battery, is that right? Seems a bit disappointing, given the
number of other cameras that can use AA rechargeables.

Anyone got any experience with the Nikon batteries? Do you need to get an
extra one or two?
