2400c and 112 megs of RAM thoughts

Just to give my impressions of my 2400 with the recent 96 meg RAM chips.
Running OS 9.1.

Things seem snappier. No virtual memory!

My first one was DOA but the replacement was fine.

I was hoping that the new RAM would allow me to make full rez scans on a
Leaf35 film scanner with my 2400. About 70 meg file.

I have to run the computer without virtual memory so RAM is important.

I gave PS all the memory minus 5 megs and started scanning. I scanned all
the way up to full rez with the scanner.

With the old 80 meg chip my computer would crash on a 10 meg scan.

This was good news for me. I can now sell my old Wallstreet PB knowing my
2400 can do scanning duties for the life of the scanner.

I was shocked the RAM made so much of a difference.

Thanks for all the help you folks have dished out.

Jerry
