8.6 will run all the Macromedia stuff and most other modern software 
without consuming extra ram like 9.2 does. i find ram doubler 8 and 
speed doubler 8 to be indisposable on this little guy. the 2400 and 
3400 are identical except for the size and the 2400 having media bays 
and built in ethernet. i prefer photoshop 5.5 over 6 (adobe made 
changes to the workflow is handled/layers are handled that i don't 
like), but it is relatively slow on the 2400 - pshop 4 runs at a nicer 
pace and does most of what's necessary.
