Sorry if this is a little late in the game, but I am on Digest mode.

The following website still has a very good (pictorial) step-by-step 
rebuilding instruction. It includes the cautions about taking care NOT to 
destroy the monitoring and control circuitry when opening the battery 
pack (and how to rebuild it if you do damage it).
