Well I was able to set my connector in dock mode and use a DB-25 to DB-25 cable to connect my 2400c to an older PowerMac 6500. Then I was able to boot the 2400c into dock mode and mount the hard drive on my 6500. I then was able to install a fresh install of 8.1 onto the 2400c hard drive through dock mode. Now my 2400c boots to 8.1!!! Success at last!!!
