[DuoList] OT: Starting up old machines

Does the Color Classic require a fresh PRAM battery to boot? Because mine is dead cold and will not boot anymore. I just ordered a new PRAM battery from OWC, but I do not know if this will fix the problem. It could be old leaky capacitors or something more serious. I need some input on this.
