I have a Sawtooth with an external USB CDRW.  I recommend firewire, as you'll 
never burn anything higher than 2x no matter what the USB drive is rated at.  
However, price may be an concern.  Went with USB so I could share between my 
wife's iMac and the Sawtooth.
