Best PDA recommendation

When buying a PDA, I would recommend that you first
think about why you need it. I am a computer teacher
and I wanted to get organized and use Excel in the
lab. Unfortunately, we have a problem with stealing
and computer security, so I wanted a handheld.

I recently bought a new clie NX70 a month ago. I
figured it would be most compatible with Mac OS. At
first, I was really frustrated with it, not able to
find the right software and downloads (the clie only
comes with PC software), but after a month, I've
finally gotten full functionality from it, and I am
very pleased with listening to my itunes, taking
photos and importing/exporting them from iphoto, and
working on my word & excel files on it.

After you buy a PDA, you may have to download Palm 4.0
from the internet (free), purchase "Missing Sync"
software, then check the Apple.com site for the isync
conduit. If you are using Documents to Go (Word, and
Excel), you will want to buy the Premium Edition from
the Documents to Go site (to have full functionality).
Also, I would recommend constantly checking the Sony
site for new downloads, to ensure you can access your
memory stick, etc.

It's a confusing decision, and somewhat frustrating
when the Mac software is not included, but you can
have a lot of fun with your PDA. Do some research,
visit some stores to test them out, and have a good
time!

Jill
