Yes, it's a permissions problem. Root owns the system files. To change the
permissions do this. Before dragging the folder to the trash, select it,
press CMD+I, select the Ownership and Permissions tab, click on the lock
symbol, enter your password when prompted, change owner to me, click on the
Apply to enclosed items button, close the info box, drag the folder to the
trash, and empty the trash.
