The G5 has an 8x AGP slot, such that the card might be incompatible with older Macs. I bought an ATI Radeon 9600 that comes in the G5s and it would not allow my Quicksilver 2002 to boot with the card installed. However, xlr8yourmac.com posted this link -> http://www.techseekers.net/modules.php? name=Reviews&rop=showcontent&id=71 that shows how to get the 9600 working in an older Mac. It has a good explanation of what the issues are. Is the Geforce the one that comes standard in the G5? You may be able to use this to help you find out if the Geforce can work in your machine. If it's a PC Geforce, you will need to flash the ROM in a PC with the Mac firmware to get it to work. The third page of the link explains this as well, although you need a source for the Mac ROM, and it's not really a simple procedure.
