[G4] G4 upgrades on a beige G3 - scsi and printer help?

Thanks for the effort to help, Phil. Tried both of your suggestions but 
am still getting the program code (at least I think that's what it is). 
At the moment I have it hooked up to one of the USB ports on the back 
of my G4/400 Sawtooth. Tried printing from programs other than Word as 
well but same results.

Any other thoughts?
