I have a 4 port Asante FriendlyNet router that I use on my little home LAN
and it works great. I have it connected to a cable modem and it distributes
DHCP connections to my G4 desktop, my Airport base station so I can surf
with my Pismo laptop; and it connects to my son's PC when he's home so he
can connect to his AOL account. I've tried to wean him off AOL but he
travels extensively, so the ubiquitous distribution of local AOL connections
actually makes it cost effective for him.
