[G4] Dead FW ports

2x check for firmware upgrades that particular set of machines did have 
them and I think there was one that did in fact affect FW.

I would also 2x apple system profiler to see if they show up there. If 
they do it might be a conflicting driver issue or something similar. 

(i didnt read the whole message, but those are the first things I would 
check.)
