[G4] Adding a Sony DVD drive

no, i am saying flashing the pioneer OEM superdrive with pioneer 
aftermarket firmware updates worked quite well. this allowed gain of 
certain firmware improvements on superdrives before apple finally got 
around to offering a firmware update. the pioneer drives do not support 
dvd +r

if you bought a sony drive ($375 or so??) retail of course it would 
support all the formats that the box lists. the only thing is that 
apple software (disk burner, idvd, etc probably wont support dvd +r  -> 
i know idvd doesnt support it) this will require you to have a third 
party burning suite (like toast)
