USB Card?

I recently bought a 5 port PPA USB 2.0 card from a friend.  The box says it only supports windows machines but he was using it in an 8500.  I installed it in my girlfriends Beige G3 and downloaded the newest USB Mass driver.  I can't seem to get the card to work.  I've tried several drivers and have had no success. She is Running OS 10.2.5.   Any suggestions? All help is greatly appreciated.
