Sort'a. I play my sound from my Quicksilver through the PowerWave amplifier which connects via USB. I notice that often when I play music CD's or video DVD's, the sound gets distorted and tinny. I have to open up the "Sound" Preference Pane, switch to Internal Speakers/Built-In Audio, and then back again, and it is OK for a little while longer. I wondered if that had anything to do with overloading the USB bus. BTW, this has happened through many versions of OS X, though I am up to date with 10.3.3 now. --Steve At 12:23 PM -0700 4/8/04, Jim Pacyga wrote: >Anyone have the problem on OSX 10.x where if you have a USB sound >device (like SoundSticks) that the sound is intermittent or fails >completely if you have an outbound transfer of data over the network >(i.e., Airport/Ethernet)? > >I see in the Console that there is a watchdog now for the USB Audio >Driver, but it sure is annoying...I submitted it as a bug in 10.3.3 >but was curious to see if anyone else gets it too?
