No Sound

I use a Cube and all sound out is USB based.  You could try a the 
Griffin imic for sound out (and in if needed).  Griffins product works 
very well and many users use this solution when required (like on the 
Cube).  They also have some very nice software like Final Vinyl (for 
recording your records and its free).
