[G4] Gray pattern on screen

 Hello All,

 Any information about the following problem will be appreciated.

 I have a G4 Tower with a 17" Apple Studio Display

 Lately, when the display wakes up after being asleep, the screen shows a
gray, striped pattern for a few seconds before displaying the desktop.

 The gray stripes are about 3 to four inches wide, with alternating hues of
gray.

 Is this an indication of an impending failure of either the display or
video card

 Any and all information/comments will be appreciated
