[G4] Saving Email as Text

All of this appears to me to be a simple case of failing to read the
menu information and investigate the options that are offered.

If you want to save an email message as a text file, just go to the
File menu and pull down to the "Save As...." command. In the save
dialogue box, you are given the option to save the message as one of
the following choices:
1) Rich Text Format
2) Plain Text
3) Raw Message Source

Select the format that you desire and proceed with the "save as"
process, choosing a location, etc.

Unless you are having other and more serious problems, your difficulty
is something that you could have avoided by reading carefully and
choosing the proper option.
