[G4] running word on osX and os9.

Mel,
For some reason the .doc files that I create in Office X are unreadable 
by Office XP users. I have been using .rtf files. If opened in Word 
they seem to contain all of the formating that is necessary. Do you 
know something about the .doc files that I don't?
