Why bother with any of those? Launch the Terminal app, and MANUALLY run
these commands:

sudo /etc/daily  ---each day, takes about five seconds
sudo /etc/weekly  ---each week, takes about five minutes for 50 GB of data
to update the locate
				database
sudo /etc/monthly ----each month, takes about two seconds
