[G4] Uploading files and cPanels

I know this is not specific to G4 but... I'm having trouble with images for
a website. I'm relatively new at this, I uploaded with fetch, and have tried
to put the images into a separate folder on public_html but the image files
don't want to budge Any suggestions? My host is slow to respond and I have
an article in the news paper and no images appearing on my site. I know the
solution will be simple and staring me in the eyes... So I'll hang my head
and hope you will forgive me.
