ATA controllers (ignoring RAID controller) are by and large  
interchangeable. They vary mostly in cost and warranty. And Mac  
versions are grossly overprice in comparison to their PC counter parts.

Dump the notoriously unreliable Zip drive unless you absolutely need  
it. This is what USB flash drives  and CD writers are for.
