[G4] Lost Desktop Files

Hello G4ers,

I need a little help.  Somehow I think I accidentally "replaced" my 
desktop file and so all the files I had stored on my desktop seem to 
be missing.  I did a search on my hard drive for a few of the missing 
files and came up empty handed.  At one point, I noticed that my 
Desktop folder was called Desktop1.

My machine:  G4 Sawtooth 400 Mhz, running OS 10.3.8

Here's how I think it happened.  I was trying to FTP a stubborn file 
from another server to my desktop using SFTP.  I kept getting a 
message saying "the file " " could not be transferred....." and some 
other junk I didn't read carefully enough and then it gave me the 
option to update or replace.  I think I hit update a few times and in 
my frustration, I think I hit the replace once.  I think once was 
enough to wipe out all the files on my desktop.

Does anyone know if it's possible to get it back?  Will Disk Warrior do this?

I'm feeling like a real idiot at the moment!

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
