The drive in question is a Pioneer DVR-110D. I did check the web and found there is a firmware update from my v1.37 to v1.39, but naturally it is an EXE file which means PC only. I also checked the media compatibility charts and could not locate imation on any list. Basically what they say is that brands not listed are supported at 4x. I may give that a try to see how it works. BTW, The Ridata media was fully supported all the way up to 16x. Just a message from Doug...
