[G4] Help, Computer won't shut down

It sounds like you have an application running that will not respond to 
the kill/shut-down command.

Prior to exciting the shut-down command open your "Activity Monitor" 
and select "My Processes" then kill each process, one at a time until 
you have either killed all process or find the one that will not 
respond.
