[G4] Target Disk Mode ?

I have a QS in the living room, and a MDD in the den. Can I take the MDD to 
the living room, connect power to it, connect the two Macs via FW cable, but 
not hook up monitor, keyboard or mouse, etc. and see the drives in the MDD on my 
Qs so I can transfer files back and forth? If so, what steps do I take? Both 
machines have 9.2.2 and 10.3.9 on them.

Ideally I'd like to eventually access each Mac from the other over my 
wireless network, but that will have to wait for another day.
