Ok, here's my quandry. I'm building a gigabit ethernet G4 tower. I got the tower for almost nothing, with a stock 400mHz G4 card and 256MB of RAM. I had a processor card left over from an upgrade I did years back (OK, I actually found it in a box of stuff in my basement I'd forgotten about). It was sold as a 466mHz card in a digital audio tower, but it was actually marked 533mHz on the chip. After removing a resistor or 2 to reclock the chip, it's running at 600mHz and totally stable. Would I be better off sticking with this card (a 7410 running at 600mHz) or dropping in an Apple dual 500mHz (7400-based card), assuming I had access to both cards? Everything I've read shows that the performance should be about the same, but I'm wondering if anyone has a perspective on this I'm not using this computer for high end gaming or anything. It's basically a print and file server, but I'd like to occasionally use it for a game of Unreal Tournament or to run Connectix VGS or maybe some Duke Nukem. :-) Now, I just need some more RAM... Any info is appreciated. -Hal
