[G4] ATA BUS QUESTION

I HAVE A 1.42 MDD G4 with 2 80 Gig HD's & 1- 160.
In the device tree manager on the first ATA bus 80 is listed, then  
the second bus DVD burner, then the third ATA Bus has the other 80 &  
160. .
As far as speed is concerned does it matter where your boot/system  
drive is positioned? I'm thinking I need to reposition a few things.
Any help would be appreciated.
