[G4] Missing HD in MDD

Fellow Listers:
My last question was about  missing icons on my Desktop of a hard  
drive. The HD was from my broken CPU.
What I found curious was that 2 of the 4 partitions on one of my old  
HD'S would not show up on the DT.

So what I'm wondering is, if the files were only OS 9, would they  
mount???
Would a partition mount if it had been erased???
I know the MDD 800 will not boot OS 9. Does this also mean that it  
would not mount a HD with only OS 9??

Ref:G4/400 burned out Power Supply,Replaced by G4 Dual 125GHz MDD 800.
