[G4] Ownership and Group settings for Applications folder?

Greetings ( + )!( + )

On my platform the Applications folder is owned by the "system" access 
is "Read & Write."
The group is controlled by the "admin" access is "Read & Write."
Others "Read only."
However all of these are easily changed if you have the system password.
