[G4] Mirror Drive on/off Button - Prone to Failure?

First thing I would do is open it up and press the little button on  
the motherboard,
Often called the cuda or PMU switch. Press and hold down once for a  
few seconds.
You can unplug the power from the back and remove the battery for a  
while too.
But often it's just push the button.
