[G4] os help

That is right. MacJanitor is a good one, Cocktail too.
  Both of the programs I mentioned Onyx and Leopard Cache cleaner do  
the Chrons, the permissions and the caches.
Leopard Cache cleaner also does prebindings and actual defragmentation.
The other day my sis-in-law called and I walked her though Onyx and it  
fixed her right up.
These programs are powerful and should be used carefully.
  I do it around once a week too.
