[G4] FireWire 800 Hard Drive for Boot Drive?

Hello Good Folks.

I want to set up an external firewire hard drive with OSX 4.0

Question:  Can I boot OSX from an external FireWire drive?

I have a 1.25 mhz MMD with 800 FW card.
