[G4] Don't bad mouth just sign out

Mr. TheRage,  My 3 Quicksilver G4's (in three different locations)  
run OS10.4.11 and are mostly problem free.
I scan the list to see about problems with any third Party Software  
plus any little hints and tips.
Also If I can help a Newbie, I contribute.
AS to the latest G5's ... I read some of the posts of problems found.
Several professionals (folks that make their living with their Mac's)  
that I've come in contact with are still using Quicksilver 2002's.

Something that I learned from the Germans was always use the tried  
and proven. Wait until all the bugs are worked out of the New stuff.
Some of the thrifty Mac users save a lot of money by using the older  
OS versions and  pick up the high dollar software for ten cents on  
the dollar.
Just like the generic medicines will do the same job as the newer 20  
times higher Rx .... so it is with the older chips and software.

I can remember how long it took to learn my first CAD SW. I'd hate to  
do that over every couple of years.
The new learning curve sometimes offsets  how much time can be saved  
with OS10.5.
