[G4] Nostalgia's not what it used to be, en-it ?

Ok I'll try again, All my mail seems to bounce when i do this but  
hey, back to the old issue from 'What Have I Done To Deserve This',  
SATA now that is not able for Cable Select, that is not the problem  
G4 continues to crash upon program selection or saving instance, such  
as 'print'  'save' 'sign in' . ordered new RAM's even if the old  
one's are cool. Tried Open Firmware suggestion and then with Open  
Firmware Updater  opening in Classic it would not proceed say's I'm  
missing Important Software, Tiger reinstall the dvd keeps asking to  
restart even after restart.
