[G4] G4 Digest, Vol 72, Issue 5, Startup Drive

My own understanding is that a GMac will only boot from an internal or Firewire drive, and will not boot from an external USB drive. My G4 DA boots from an internal SATA drive hooked up to a SATA PCI card. I have an external Firewire drive, but have not experimented with an external USB drive myself. External USB drives are good for storage, but not for system booting.
