[G4] Installing OSX 10.3 on a Powermac G4 quicksilver 800 (2002)

He has to get the box to boot (from a system CD/DVD) period before he
can get to Disk Utility. It sounds like he's not getting to the
"Install OS X" screen at all. As said, he may have the full installer,
or they may be the wrong disks.

> Are you sure that you have the FULL installation of OSX10.3, or is it an upgrade to 10.3? You should format your new drive. This is done by booting from the OSX DVD and using Disk Utility. You probably want to format the HD using the "Mac OS Extended (Journaled)" format.
