Flash has historically not been well optimized for Mac, only recently 
after Steve Jobs started railing on Adobe for Flash's poor performance 
have they really put any serious effort into optimizing it for Mac.

Most of that optimization though has been on the Intel side. I have 
noticed an improvement in the latest version of Flash on my Dual G5 but 
Flash still, and likely never will, does not support hardware decoding 
on PowerPC Macs.

You didn't mention what your video card specs are but if it is bare 
bones a better one *might* help.

Really the best advice is to let it load completely before you start 
playing it.
