[G5] 10.4.3 full upgrade revs up iMac G5 fans; won't stop

The same thing happened to me. I already reported it to this list.  I went through the re-installation with the tech.  BAD NEWS!  Anyway, on a whim, I opened the case and re-set the PMU (power management unit)by pressing the PMU button, and the fans once again behaved.
