couple of questions

I was having a "freeze" problem on my G4 / Panther (mentioned here before).

The "unplug USB devices" trick seems to be working for me as well (as well 
as repairing permissions).  I think it was my ZIP drive that was the 
culprit.  Now I just plug it in when I need it.
